TRANSIT OF VENUS COULD NOT BE SEEN DUE TO CLOUDY WEATHER

Bangladesh Astronomical Society organized the Transit of Venus on the morning of 6 June, 2012 at Zirabo, Ashulia Dhaka, Bangladesh. A large numbers of Astro-enthusiasts had attended to have a look to this celestial spectacle but due to cloudy weather sun could not be seen clearly as such the "Transit of Venus" was invisible. Spectators were dismayed for missing the observation of the last of the Transit of Venus of this Century which will not be seen in the next 105 years that is before 11 December, 2117.

Preparation for observation of "Transit of Venus" at Ashulia, Zirabo, Savar, Dhaka.

Mr. F. R. Sarker, General Secretary, Bangladesh Astronomical Society had conducted this historic Transit of Venus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. F. R. Sarker, Genaral Secretary of Bangladesh Astronomical Society is searching for Sun with Telescope and Glass during the wet weather.

 

Enthusiasts attendance are eagarly waiting and looking for Clear Sky to observation of the “Transit of Venus”.
